WOW is our largest culminating event of the year, celebrating an incredible season of growth, teamwork, and achievement. This year’s event took place on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at International Legacy Middle & High School in South Gate.
Woodcraft Students gathered to showcase their skills in everything from soccer, volleyball, basketball, skateboarding, Dodgers Dreamteam Baseball, Softball & Nutrition Clinic, e-sports, robotics, performances, an art walk, and a presentation from the J. Calvin Mueller Scholarship.
Participants were also able to celebrate at the Manual Arts High School Senior Award Night with one of the J.Calvin Mueller Scholarship recipients, Williams Lopez. Five other Woodcraft High School students received a $1,000 scholarship for their passion for community service, volunteerism, and proven ability to effect positive change as leaders in extracurricular activities. Nine students from nine high schools also received $2,000 each from the scholarship.
Inspired by the principles of lifelong knowledge, community service, and leadership, the J. Calvin Mueller Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2002 to help advance the educational opportunities and support the career interests of at-risk high school students.
The scholarship is awarded once a year on a competitive basis to a high school senior who has demonstrated a sound commitment to advancing his/her education to a vocational, community college, or university level, a passion for community service and volunteerism, and the proven ability to effect positive change as a leader in extra-curricular activities.
The event unites youth and families, building community in a day filled with energy, excitement, and unforgettable moments of play and connection.
