The World Cup has soccer fans across the globe on their feet — and right here at home, 140 young Rangers brought that same electric energy to our very own Goalapalooza!
With the world watching the beautiful game at its highest level, there’s never been a better moment to put a soccer ball at a kid’s feet. That’s exactly what Goalapalooza delivered — a high-energy soccer play day packed with drills, mini-scrimmages, and skill-building activities, all set to music that had players dancing between plays. From tentative first-timers to budding stars inspired by their World Cup heroes, every student had a moment to shine.
Adding to the celebration was Telemundo 52, who brought the World Cup spirit right onto the field with an interactive photo booth and an inflatable soccer game that had our young players buzzing with excitement. It’s the kind of moment that turns a school activity into a memory.
None of it would have happened without our incredible partner NBC Universal. Their commitment to bringing resources, volunteers, and activities to our community transformed this day into something truly special. And a heartfelt thank you to the Multicultural Learning Center for hosting and creating a welcoming space where every Ranger felt at home.
At its heart, Goalapalooza is about one thing: building confidence. For kids who might hesitate on the sidelines, these events offer a safe, encouraging space to try something new, and maybe see a little of themselves in the players lighting up stadiums around the world this summer. With the World Cup proving that soccer unites us all, Goalapalooza showed our community the same thing on a smaller, equally beautiful scale. ⚽
